JUNE STARS ROBERT LAMSON MAVRTCE CRONE DUANE BLACKWELL MARIAN HUNTING ALBERT KITZHABER Secretary Treasurer President Vice-President Excular CLASS CDF JUNE 1933 I-larold Chord: Perhaps you don't remem- ber me, but when this class was VEITVCUQQ, I was its benign Sovereign When I did hold sway, I enjoyed a happy successful year. For instance, do you remember that IOI3 mixer within my castle walls? That was the height of my rule. Yes, those were the good old days. William Van Orsdoli You're getting for- getful, though I was Junior President, I must remind you that your people won first place in the annual class song contest at the Shrine Temple- Strange not to recall thatl During my rule the class also carried off honors at the some event. l3ut that's in the past. Now a new sovereign reigns in the Senior Class. Duane l3lackwell1 That's right, l'm in my glory now, perhaps during the happiest days of the class even though we do face bank- ruptcy in our excheguer, No funds for gaie- ties in this year of depressionln I-larold Chord: And you have not been able to arouse support in building a much needed new castle, have you? Duane l3lackwelli No, but who cares about the building as long as one has a good time and accomplishes something. Our host of representatives in athletics, debate, and dro- matics, such as Fritz Jakoubek, Warren Carr, and Frances Eby, do seem to prove that we have fulfilled both of these requirements. William Van Grsdoli Besides we were plenty lucky in our '3l, '32, and '33 cabinets with Miss Rogers, our Secretary of State. Duane Blackwell: And with that snappy committee working on class day program, you can just believe that our reign will end in a blaze of gloryl William Van Orsdoli I wish we knew who our graduation speaker is to be, but we can rest assured he will be worthy of the impres- sive occasion at which we gather for the last time as the Class of '33. 30
