WINTER STUDENT CO U N C I L- Rapping his gavel sharply, Earl Rice, Student Body President, called his Cabinet and the Sen- ate in session to begin a busy se- mester of legislation. Councils first official act was the BIO ori- entation assembly which ac- quainted new students with Washington. The school exchange aud promoted sportsmanship and spirit. With the help of the Art Department, Council created the lively figure of Washington George to represent virtue and oppose the lazy Louws in every way. Council amended the con- stitution giving its adviser, Mr. l-larold Coogan, the veto power. Washington students are proud ot the tact that their govern- ment represents a democracy at work.
