Delve into Shelves, Search for Research A place of relaxation between classes, before school or during a free period. This was the library. But it was much more. Conferences, meetings, research and studying. All were a part of the activities that occurred in the library day to day. There were books of all kinds—including ref- erence. encyclopedias and even magazines. Staff personnel made available the use of audio-visual equipment, tape-recorders, film projectors, records and cassetts. A staff, headed by Mr. Vincent Oglesby and Mrs. Cora Lee Hurt, with a board of approximately 15 student aids, kept the library moving. Ready to afford productive ideas and aids for learning. Work, work, work! Mrs. Cora Hurt, librarian, pauses for a bit of direction. Elizabeth Wise- man and Roger Clifton learn as library assistants. Students take a breather! Libraries are for studying and for occasional relaxation.
