Health and Physical Education The girls in Mrs. Porter’s Physical Education 9 class receive systematic training in first aid so that they will have fewer accidents than untrained persons and be able to deal with accidents effectively, thus saving many lives. Physical Education 9 students receive training which is ap- plied to their daily living in health, safety, and recreation. They gain important experiences contributing to their fullest development and enjoyment.

Mathematics With a continous effort to elevate instruction and students ' growth in mathematics, the department realizes the following objectives: (1) to make mathematics a systematic study rather than a sequence of unrelated rules or facts: (2) to extend and refine the power gain in apply- ing mathematics so as to furnish a basis for an interest in furture mathematical work; (3) to meet the ordinary de- mands of daily life; (4) to furnish and increase the incen- tive of studying mathematics for the love of the subject; (5) to recognize and challenge students who possess strong mathematical abilities; (6) to extend meritorious recognition to students displaying outstanding achieve- ment in mathematics.
