DEDICATION We, the members of the graduating class of 1956, wish most sincerely to dedicate our year book to our two sponsors, Mrs. Viola P. Blair and Mr. Calvin H. Finlay, who have worked hard and put forth great effort to guide us through our last years of high school. We wish to dedicate this book to them as a small token of our appreciation-this book we, with their help, have composed. We wish to dedicate this book to Mr. Finlay because he has been with us throughout our high school career. He has taught us and guided us through those trying years. We wish to dedicate it to Mrs. Blair because she, too, has helped us and guided us when we needed guidance, giving us understand- ing when it was needed and stood by us these last two years of high school life. To both of them we wish the best of every thing to come and we like to think that in the long life of their teaching ca- reers they will pick up the “Hawk” of 56 and pleasant mem- ories of the Eighth Graders of 51 and the Seniors of ’56 will unfold before them, causing them to say: “They climbed though the road was rugged, and may peace and prosperity be with each of them. ” So, may we now in dedicating this book to them, Mrs. Blair and Mr. Finlay, say, “Good luck to both of you. ”
