Additionally, the Signals Team coordinates the ship's sideboys and ensures distin guished visitors are rendered proper honors. The SM's diligent training and hard work contributed to GWs second “Green C for Communications excellence. The Quartermasters navigate the ship through the world's waterways, fixing” the ship’s position via visual aids, radar satellites, and celestial bodies 24 hours a day. Maintaining and correcting charts covering the entire globe, GW’s Quartermasters successfully navigated the ship over 65,000 miles, including passages through the Straits of Gibraltar. Messina.
