Junior Brad LaRue was named the teamls Best Stricker. Shad Santee led the team in scoring and was named the season's Most Valuable Player. Richard Terrell earned Best Mid-Fielder, while Mike Cash was awarded Best De- fender. The Coaches Award went to Robbie Hutto. 1. TEAM F011 XLL TIMES V.GlllL.' CUCCER he first kickoff of the 1987 Varsity X Girls Soccer began a season filled with ex- citing games and 1 many victories. Coach Seigal saw the girls triumph in the 1987 season and watched them devel- op as a teamg The sense of teamwork and togetherness was the principle factor in the team's success. The sister team combination of Tara and Leslie Suder brought the team even closer. The girls' immense drive and soccer expertise 722 9 ,f ,f f . 2 A f f R a f? f Ii XASNV - - if pu 3 as Q E X . , 3 helped them defeat Lovett, a team which has always given Walton a tough workout. The games definitely got more ex- citing and one could tell that the players were getting better. Two of the outstanding players, Leslie Suder and Erin Johnson, received soccer scholarships and proved that Walton soccer really pays!
