IN DIVIDUALITY Individuality-what does it mean? At some schools, individuality might mean getting a mohawk and wearing weird clothes, but at Walton, individuality means creativ- ity, originality, and freedom of expression. Walton has an incredibly diverse atmo- sphere, and its students revel in the differ- ences of their peers. Walton students are se- cure and confident therefore, they are not afraid to express their sense of identity in the clothes they wear, the music they listen to, or the roads they follow. Walton's halls are filled with students with a sense of styleg one can see students with hair ranging from black and White to purple or even red, white and blue. These students also have different directions to follow. Some have mapped out their col- lege choices and careers, While others take one day at a time and go with the flow? Other outlets for creativity are the electives in students choose. From art to Spanish IV, these electives reflect the originality and goals of the students. They choose the paths they want to take and follow through with Raider Spirit and Walton Pride. This drive to excel in special ways lets Walton hold on to NUMBER ONE . . . INDIVIDUALITY! OPENI G

LE DERSHIP , Leaders are those special people who seize life and choose their own direction. An invigorating aura surrounds these leaders and captivates those who follow. Walton is a big school, therefore, all students who possess these strong leadership qualities have a chance to assert themselves. Students may become leaders in the classroom, on the sports field, or through various clubs. Is it hard to recog- nize these exemplary leaders? Not at all. Classrooms be- come more than a place to learn when they are enhanced by highly motivated students. Such students can turn a mere lecture into a heat- ed debate, lead class dis- cussions, and im- p r o v e Q if ' K. everyone's learning. In sports, super athletes inspire the entire team and their drive and spirit prevails at every sports event. Without the excellent leadership of the clubs at Walton, one very important facet of high school life would fail to exist. Sponsors for Walton clubs supervise meetings and projectsg however, in the end final decisions and actions are left up to the club officers. Walton is proud to produce students who are not afraid to take charge and show initiative. Walton students are proud, motivated, and responsible. This is why Walton is holding on to NUMBER ONE . . . they are LEADERS! f all ' :Wi ' ' fl ll i i S, an f- M ' ' 5 s - . lb. :grail-iii? is , . OPENING-9
