The first is the Film and Theater Class, taught by lVlrs. Ethel Solovay, and the second is the Drama Class, taught by lVlr. Ellis lVlarmor. The Film and Theater Class, which is only offered to seventh termers, teaches the art of analyzing and reviewing a movie or show, thus enabling the student to become a critic in his own way. Writing, direct- ing, producing, and acting are also discussed, and a brief synopsis follows each study. Although the Drama Class does a brief study of shows both on and off Broadway, the history of the theater is delved into thoroughly. In preparation for college, lVlrs. Solovay teaches an Honors Background Class in English Literature. To be a student in this class, one must possess extremely high grades in English and be in the seventh term.
