. . . Ending the Beginning Suddenly they’re Seniors, and Clark students realize that they are very close to becoming adults with adult responsibilities. During their last year, they do as much as pos- sible as a last fling. Job applications, tests for col- lege, and college catalogues are familiar to them. After graduation any one of a number of possi- bilities for future activities faces them: college, a job, military service, or marriage. Tradition of the presentation of the Senior key to the Junior class president is carried out by Jim Kelso, president of the Junior class of ’58, and Bob Ciesco, president of the Senior class of ’57. Graduation drew near for the class of 1957 as it now does for this year’s Seniors. ■ fina F 1 man li-tr m IS a lissai 25

D ounna Students from the four Ham- mond public high schools em- barked on a trip to Washington, D.C. from October 23-28, 1957. Twenty-two Clark students were included in this group. The trip included transporta- tion on the Erie. Railroad’s “Lake City” train; a sight-seeing tour of the capitol city including the Bureau of Printing and Engrav- ing and the White House; an even- ing at the Casino Royale supper club; a trip along Skyline Drive in Virginia; and a night aboard the. Old Bay Line Steamer. President Eisenhower’s home provides the background for these Clarkites in Washington, D. C. On the steps at the Capitol grounds M. Keller, J. Badowski, A. Chrustow- ski, B. Small, J. Roznawski, and J. Makis, take a breather from the trip. 24
