Dr. John M. Claunch came to Peabody College in 1967. Prior to coming to Peabody, Dr. Claunch was chairman of the Department of Government, Dean of Southern Methodistis Dallas College, and Director ,of Southern Methodist University's Institute for Urban Re- search. Dr. Claunch has also served as a secondary school principal and school superintendent. The President received his bachelor's degree from Ste- phen F. Austin State College, and his master's and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Texas. Regarded as an authority in the field of county govern- ment, Dr. Claunch was head of the Arnold School of Government, a trust fund used for research and publica- tions. He also served a term in the Texas legislature. In his three years at Peabody, Dr. Claunch has earned the respect and admiration of the Peabody administra- tion and students. Pt

Academic Vice president Hollis A. Moore Dr. Hollis A. Moore, Vice President for Academic affairs at Peabody College, has contributed greatly to the development of the college. Dr. Moore received his B.A. degree from Baylor University, and his Ed.D. degree from the University of Texas. Experiences such as Dean of the College of Education, University of Arizona, Associate Editor of The Nations Schools, Executive Secretary, Community for the Ad- vancement of School Administration, and Educational Director of the W.K. Kellog Foundation, have enabled Dr. Moore to become the fine leader he is, and an impor- tant asset to the administration of Peabody College. Administrative vice president George R. Conger Dr. George R. Conger came to Peabody College this year to assume the position of Administrative Vice Presi- dent. Dr. Conger received his B.B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Miami. He received his Ed.D. degree from Florida State University. Prior to his coming to Peabody, Dr. Conger conducted a'state-wide study in Florida in the process of developing a comprehensive master plan of education through 1980. His past achievements include post-doctorate work in Computer Assisted Instruction and assistant to the presi- dent of Miami-Dade Junior College. Peabody extends a welcome to Dr. Conger as we are sure he will be a valuable addition to the administrative staff.
