The Special Education team organized so that each player could improve his physical condition. As the season progressed each player began to feel a part of a team. No individual is important unless he feels a part ofthe team. .. --1 A-aria Agway V .. ,,. , .g......g1f: L-1 - ,,,, if - The Transducers The Transducers are composed of graduate students whose only common element seems to be an enjoyment of basketball and a philosophy that more can be gained as a participator than as a spectator. The name of the team symbolized one of the greatest values deriven from participation. A transducer is a devise that allows . one form of energy to be transferred into another form. Studying produces a lot of frustration and nervous V' energy. Participation in intramural basketball pro- , Q vides an outlet by which this wasted energy can be 'L S transformed backintoausefulstatc. 2 U ' Z gli QQ' 2 ff. fiirtimg 7 fav:-'me L. -'if Lambda Psi Omega l-r: Joe Purcell, Bob Chick, .lack Humphrey, Mike Jennett, Mah- lon West, Bob Reed This year Lambda Psi Omega showed an incredible amount ofstamina and persistence in the face of overwhelming odds and insurmountable leads. Lambda Psi played with the axiom, lt's not if you win or lose, it's how you play the game foremost in the minds of each individual player. -W Sigma Epsilon Gray Gorillas Excelling in spirit, but a little lax in the skill. Yes, if fouls were on the scoreboard the Gray Gorillas would be on top. my The Gorillas were led by Andy Clough, Sam Samford. Follow- ing close behind were Dave Hellin and John Biflle. FRONT ROW' Mary Smith, Meredith Smith, Cathy Davis, Sarah Risser, Leslie Peschel. Delta made it to the top of the intramural basketball league in an un- defeated season. They again showed their skill and will to win by emerging as the victor in the all-star playofT. Intramural basketball It was a busy season this year with each team playing six games plus the final all-star game which pits the team winning the greatest number of their games against the best from the rest of the teams. Watching these games, one could see that all the players were doing their best to win and enjoying every minute of it. Independents The independents, although plaqued with difficulty in rounding up players, played with teamwork and enthu- siasm,
