But no one needs a party to help get acquainted with dorm life and new neighbors. It soon becomes a home away from home. The sterile walls soon collect a myriad of memories and dreams. Lobbies are transformed into living rooms, and the dorm becomes an autonomous world of fun and experience. if

Homecoming E156 , WWI! s The bevy of beauties composing the homecoming court, typify the gorgeous coeds Peabody is noted Nominations and the resulting elections for Homecom- ing queen and her attendants instigate the festivities which typify Peabody's homecoming. Thursday night, the weekend commences with the annual banquet to honor the soccer team as well as candidates for the queen and her court. Tension builds as the announcement of the queen draws near, and continues with the pep rally and bonfire, reaching a peak on Saturday, when Peabody's spirited soccer team fights to be victorious. With the excitement of Peabody's homecoming dance featuring soulful Percy Sledge and the originating of the interclass football game, '.he homecoming of 1969 surpasses all previous homecom- ing weekends at Peabody.
