Phi Delta Kappa Phi Delta Kappa is an international educational Ira- ternity organized for the purpose of developing a more complete professionalism, social fellowship, and produce tive scholarship among educators. Founded in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1910, Phi Delta Kappa now has active Chapters in 84 of our leading colleges and universities, both here and in Canada. In addition, there are 62 held chapters affiliated with the National organization. Phi Delta Kappa promotes lfree public education as an essential to the development and maintenance ol' a democracy, through tlIe continuing interpretation ol' the ideals ol research, service, and leadership.
