STUDE T COUNCIL l TOM BOLLES EUNICE GOODALL President Vice-President Through the Student Council, whose officers are elected from the Student body at large and whose members represent each of the recognized organizations at Peabody, each student has a voice in campus affairs. The Student Council seeks to stimulate and coordinate extra-curricular activities and to sponsor projects for the beneht of the College and the com- munity. The Council being the student governing body acts as a liasion between the student body and the administration. This year one of the outstanding projects of the council was to formulate a Student Assembly Committee to work in accordance with the administration for the betterment of the assembly periods. Very functional, too, is the Suggestions Committee, appointed by the President of the College and composed of 'three students, three faculty members, and a chairman, through which any student can make his wants and his recommendations known to the administration. At the beginning of each year an Orientation Program is initiated for al'l freshmen and new students. SUE LKIARTIN GALE FORD Secretary Vice-President Also included in the activities of the council are the all- campus dances and social affairs under the guidance of the Vice-President and the social committee. Always to be re- membered are the wonderful dances, particularly the Corona- tion Ball, one of the highlights of the year. Also the skating parties and square dances played their parts in making this quite a successful social year for all on campus. Tom Bolles, our President-elect served one term in the Fall quarter and was unable to return to school' for tlIe re- mainder of the school year, thus causing Eunice Goodall, the vice-president elect to go into the presidency.
