RECREATIO ASSOCIATIO Page 134 PHYSICAL EDUC TIC CLUB The Physical Education Club which is composed of all majors and minors in physical education meets once a month. The purpose and object ol the club is to create and stimulate a wider interest in health, physi- cal education, and reereationg to increase professional knowledge and to develop group solidarity and fellow- ship. The officers ol the club are: Jackie Bergman, Presi- dent, Ralph Johnson, Vice'President, Eleanor Harmon, Secretary, .lim Patterson, Treasurer, and Betty Hale, Publ'ieity. The l'Vomen's Recreational Association is an organi- zation which encourages and promotes expanded sports and recreational activities for all women on the campus. lVith this purpose in mind, the executive hoard set up the lollowing calendar for this year's activities: The Howdy Party, which was an informal wget together , for all women on campus: the camping week-end, which was a week-end ol hshing, hiking and out-of-door activities for all girls interested in Hroughing ith: the annual water show, which was presented by the thirty-eight members of the Mermaid Clubg the spring lestival, which is an annual presentation by the Dance Group in honor ol' Mr. and Miss Peabodyg and the Candlelight Service, which was an impressive installation service lor new officers.
