The three women's residence halls on Peabody campus constitute 12 . . . . . ? the lnter-Dormitory Council. It is a representative organization whose members consist of the president of each dormitory, a repre- 5 si 3 sentative elected from the dormitory as a whole, and a representative if 22 elected from the floor counselors. Miss Mary Morton, Director oi' Student Life, is advisor to the group. The council formulates rules and handles matters pertinent to all of the women's dormitories. The official instrument of the organization is the constitution. As the highest authority of wotnen's student government, this coordinating council considers the general welfare and common interests of women students in residence and makes every effort to provide for their needs. Its pur- pose is that ol' encouraging in its members a higher de- gree of social service. lllemhership is ha ed upon scholar- ship and achievement in educational work, high educa- tional ideals and admirable personal qualities. President Henry Hill' and Dr. Harold Benjamin ol Peabody are members ol the Laureate Chapter ol Kappa EDUCATIONAL K PP DELTA PI Delta Pi, which is composed ol' men and women who have attained distinction in education. The Alpha Pi Ghapter at Peabody was in talled Nlay l-1, l927. Its niemliership includes laculty memliers, senior college and graduate students.
