George Speed, Larry Peterson. l'Vest Hall was even more ol' an International House than usual this year, with students from Hawaii, Formosa, Okinawa, the Phil'ippines, India, Pakistan, Austria, Germany, and Japan, not to mention various Latin American countries or such foreign countries as Texas, New York, ete. The spirit of cooperation was excellent in spite of the different backgrounds of the residents. The greatest tragedy of the year was the theft of the new television set during the Thanksgiving holidays. However, not to be outdone, the men dipped into the treasury Qaud their own pocketsj and replared the set Prf'.vi1If'11I ..., . l'ir'e-Pmsirlwrll 'fVr'1ls11rr'V . . . The winter quarter was marked by two social events, a dessert party in cooperation with Graduate Hall, and the annual Open House. The latter was the work ol Jimmy Cox and his many helpers. lVith the coming of spring, and Campusology 405, the inmates of YVest began looking forward to vacation rather than worrying about how to pay for the new TV or how to pass llnals. Even the doctoral aspirauts were able to forget prelims and dizzytations for a while. .. .JACK l'URr:1iI,L ,. ,.., AIINI Cox . , . . llII.l. ,XMoNl4l1 I'1i . . ,DONALD l.l'1l'l 'l',xvI,oR . . .
