Mr. D. K. McKenzie Principal Throughout the school year Mr. McKenzie has endeav- ored to make Butler High School an institution where each student becomes an individual with talents and abilities of his own. Because of his interest in and un- derstanding of the student body Mr. Mac holds a spe- cial place in the hearts of Butler students. His stabilizing influence is felt in the daily rhythm of school life, as he deals with the problems major and minor of student and faculty member alike. To Mr. Mac Butler owes a debt—one which cannot be paid easily. He is Butler High School. Emily, Mrs. Hinely, Martha, Ann, and Lewis, Jr. always stand behind Mr. Hinely in his work. Mr. Lewis J. Hinely Assistant Principal A student can turn around any corner, glance down any corridor and find Mr. Hinely. There is no problem too large or small for him to listen quietly and diag- nose correctly the trouble. If he does not have the solu- tion one can always walk away with the feeling there's someone who cares! Mr. Hinely is deeply concerned with the well-being of the student body and the faculty. His one desire is that Butler be a school where each student can fit into the environment, and progress according to his abilities. It would be difficult to find a man with more impartialty, consideration, and indulgence than our own Mr. Lewis J. Hinely. 30 Mr. Hinely pauses in his busy schedule to make an important phone call.
