Mr. Lewis J. Hinely Assistant Principal Man of Butler Mr. Hinely helps Ed Scarborough, Butler student, repair locker. The Administrator's job is much too complex to be handled alone. Mr. Lewis J. Hinely, our assistant principal, has worked con- scientiously for the betterment of Butler High School. Faculty and student body alike recognize his deep sincerity. Through his patient, effective personality he has built the reputation of a just man sensi- tive to student problems.. He is a kind but firm disciplinarian, who tempers all judgements with a deep understanding of the student. Not only has he gained the respect of the student; he has returned it. He has offered incentive by setting an example students accept with enthusiasm. His arduous duties require much study. His friendly smile lends a relaxed atmosphere conducive to good study. 16

Mr. D.K. McKenzie Profile of Mr. McKenzie He dreams of Butler Victories. Energy in the executive is a leading characteristic in the definition of good school government. Mr. Mac is the epitome of energy. As Administrator he represents the spirit of Butler. Butler is a new and mod- ern school whigh demands the lead- ership of a man who can make in- telligent decisions that encourage growth while maintaining a solid foundation to build on. Mr. McKenzie is such a man. With twenty-five years of outstanding leadership in the teaching profession he has stimu- lated learning, kindled enthusiasm, and offered the challenge of tomor- row.
