Sigma Kappa is the newest national soror- ity on campus. The Sigma Kappa National Sorority is over 100 years old with the GMU chapter in its second year. The chapter presently holds colony status until it reaches 25 members, then it will then be entitled to receive a charter. It provide its members with social atmosphere an tutorial service. The fraternity received th University service award in 1974 for thei philanthropic activities such as the annual Charity Ball, blood drives, and food and clothing drives.
