The week preceding Homecoming was one that can only be described as hectic. Falling just after the Carnival, it was further complicated by the arrival of the October Viet-Nam Moritorium. Anti-war leaflets competed with dance advertise- ments and rising feelings about both issues filled the air with electricity. Even more work than usual, remained undone as the week began and the race against time continued until the very afternoon of the dance. Released from Carnival concerns, the Seniors worked with a will to bring their plans to fruition. The results were well worth the effort. But Seniors were not the only workers. The annual dummy contest brought a flood of dummies. The Pep Club, whose spirit chain entwined the halls in its coils, planned Spirit Week activities. Homecoming Day saw a snake walk winding its way through the city and an anxious Homecoming-Chairman about to experience the fulfillment of much planning. 3. 2
