Winner of the best play cup was This Night Shall Pass , pre- sented by the sophomore-senior classes. Receiving the best acting awards were Kara Newell and John Davis, both freshmen. Under the advisorship of Dr. Paul Wood, the Amos Stanbrough chapter of Future Teachers of America has been active this past year. They have engaged outside speakers and held regular meetings at which they discussed the responsibilities and opportunities in the teaching profession. Interested in good literature, the members bring selections to be read and dis- cussed at their informal get-together. The purpose of this group is to promote literary appreciation on campus. Various demonstrations, lectures and teas were held throughout the year. Outstanding events include the Queen ' s Tea on May Day, and teas at the beginning of each semester.
