The Juniors have lived up to the honor of being awarded the Wood-Mar award by last year ' s senior class. They completed the pennants at a class party in time to sell them at Homecoming. Early in the year the bear became theirs only to be lost to the Sophomores. The class gave a skating party for the school early in January and were winners of the interclass basketball tournament. The Junior-Senior banquet was given in March this year. Appropriately it had the theme, CLP. A. rationing, Class officers were David Thomas, president; Florence Swanson, Vice-president; and Betty Ashwill, social chairman. Most of the actvity of the Sophomore class this year was keeping control of Bruin. They lost him and got him back only to lose a large part of him in a class scramble. After Mr. Weesner measured the pieces the new Bruin was awarded to the Sophomore class. In his honor a school party was held and the old Bruin was given to the museum. At Homecoming the class sold chrysanthemums. Class officers are; Carroll Michener, president ; Harold Nelson, vice president ; Evangeline Shattuck, secretary ; Leo Crisman, and Evangeline Marx, social chairmen. JAMES WEBB, from Manzanifca, Oregon is a Major in History. He has been flirting with the ' army for the past two years and says that his plans are a military ' secret. ABIGAIL MILLER is an English Major from Salem, Oregon. When a Sophomore, she was Chairman of the Christian World Education Committee in YWCA. Last year she was a Princess on May Day. This, year she is Sec- retary of the Student fiddly and President of the Girl ' s Dorm. iShe is a member of the SSS Club. For the last ' four years she has been active in the chorus. After graduation, she will do office work. GEORGE SMITH from Salem, Oregon, is a Religion Major. George went to Paeilic ' Bible School for three years. Since coming here, he has been a member of the May Court and has been active in Deputation work. Next fall he plans to do graduate work in Religion. CLYDE HADLOCK is a Mathematics Major from Seattle, Wiashinigton. Clyde has been Vice President and Social Chairman of the YMCA. As a Senior he has been President of the Gold P, Senior class Representative to the MAA Council, Student Body Stage Manager, and Co-captain of the football team, being a letter winner in football and baseball and a memlber of the Bohemian Club. BEVERLY LAMBERT, from St. Paul, Oregon is a Major in English. She was Chairman of Homecoming Committees when she was a Freshman and a Senior. This year she was YWCA Social Service Committee Chairman, Student Body Property Manager, and taught the Play Production class for a while after Mr. Jones resigned. She plan s to teach Eng- lish and Speech next fall. GEORGE A. BALES, from New berg, Oregon, is a Major in English. George was President of the Pep Club when a Sophomore, and in the pep band, chorus and orchestra during his Sophomore and Junior years. He wias listed in Who ' s Who when a junior, and was originator anjd .sponsor of student pro- grams in his Junior and Senior years. This year he was Vice President of the Senior class and Homecoming Chairman. He was a member of the football and tennis teams. He plans to continue in school after gradua- tion. GALEN MILLER, from Portland, Oregon, is a Religion Major. When a Freshman he was President of the Pep Club. As a S ' opih- omore he was YMCA President, Publicity Manager of the Student Body, and a Yell leader. When a Junior Ihe wa s again Yell Leader and member of the May Day Court; he coached a girl ' s, football team. This year he has been advertising manager of the L ' Amd, Senior Class President, Student Body Treasurer and assistant coach for basetoall. He has won letters in baseball and is a mem- ber of the Bohemian Club. Next fall he will go to Bethany Biblical Seminary in Chicago. MARION DOBLE, from Newberg, Oregon, is a major in Religion. She went to Sampson Bible Institute ' for three years. Here at Pa- cific she has been Chairman of the Deputa- tion Committee; Secretary of the Old gltud- ents Association. Next year she hopes to go to graduate school to do graduate work in Re- ligious Education. JAMES SFIRIJiP is an English Major from St. Paul, Oregon. When he was a Sop ' homore he was Sophomore class President, baseball captain, and YMCA Program Chairman. The next year he was on the student Faculty Co- operation committee, MAA President and was YMCA Publicity Manager. This year he was President of the Student Body. He has letters in football, baseball and basket- ball. He is a member of the Bohemian club and this year is assistant coach for baselball. He is in the Navy V7 class and will report for duty this summer. WILLIAM STEIN is a chemistry Major from Dundee, Oregon. He has been Secretary, treasurer of the Gold P, a letter winner in football and basketball. He has been Business Manager of several plays. When a Junior he was. May Day Chairman, and as a senior has been Business Manager of the Crescent, Co- captain of the football team and a member of the Student Faculty Cooperation Commit- tee. After graduation he will work if not in the armed forces. ELENITA MARDOCK is a Spanish and Eng- lish major from Florence, Oregon. When a Sophomore she was Deputation Chairman, Yell Leader, and Treasurer of the WAA. As a Junior she was President of the YWCA, Trefian President, listed in Who ' s Who, and President of the Gold Q. When a Senior she was again President of the Gold Q- She was Vice President of the Student Body, and Soc- ial Chairman of the YWCA. She has won letters in botih volleyball and basketball. Sh e plans to teach English next year. DORWIN SMITH, from Newberg, is a Reli- gious Major. He formerly attended Nebraska Central College and Northwest Niazarene College. For the past two years he has been a student at Pacific College, at the same time acting as Pastor of the Chehaleim Cen- ter Friends Church. After graduation he plans ; to continue preaching.

The Freshman class has had several successful parties, including a scavenger hunt at Aliens, a school skating party, and later in the Spring an outdoor feed. One memorahle activity of the class was the removing of the red painted numerals that suddenly sprang up all over the campus. Class officers are ; Orrin Ogier, president; Don Brash, vice president; Dorothy Chaney, secretary; and Betty Ann Craven, social chairman.
