It starts in July when advertisements for the annual are solicited, and the end comes in June of the next year when the last shipment containing graduation and the spring sports is sent in to the publisher. We have tried to capture every event of this school year at G. C.H.S. We hope the pages ahead will hold memories of a great year past--a year of activities, spirit, work, and fun. We present to you, the student body, the 1970 REBEL. May it bring great memories in the years to come! PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE The search for knowledge is, as it has always been, the noblest expression of the human spirit. Man's insatiable de- sire for knowledge about himself, about his environment and the forces by which he is surrounded, gives life its meaning and purpose, clothes it with final dignity. Knowledge is not a gift; it is a challenge. However, unless we can anchor our knowledge to moral pur- poses the ultimate result will be dust and ashes. R. E.
