DAMAGE CONTROL The Damage Control Organization is responsible for the control of damage a- board ship. The damage control organization supervises the placement of the ship into material conditions ordered by the commanding officer. Other responsibilities include the supervision of prescribed compartment tests, the preparation and main- tenance of bills for the control of damage and stability, and the training of the ship ' s personnel in damage control.
