 v A V Reality hits home Influences both inside and outside of school affected us. Attention occasionally focused on national events, such as the '76 elections and the swine flu scare. Some events hit closer to home than others. Most of us felt the effects of the coldest winter since 1872. School sometimes opened late, ended early, or was closed all day.
