In the second half, the Statesmen tried to overcome a nine point deficit, but a Lancer popped in the winning jump shot with only seconds remaining. '

J.V. Basketball Outstanding work offensively and defensively JOHN WALTON tries for two points against Falls Church, trying to make a comeback against the Jaguar defense. The Junior Varsity Basketball Team, coached by Mr. Crupper, finished the season with a 5-12 record in the league. During the season, win or lose, they played many exciting games, including 3 overtime games, and 9 games that were decided by 5 points or less. In winning, they defeated Wakefield, Stuart, Mount Vernon, Fairfax, and Annandale.
