Not pictured: Chris Lingomfelter, Cliff Crompton. Breaking a record in the Fairfax County Relays and racking up a victory in their first dual meet, the George C. Marshall track' team is off to a promising season. By placing in the two-mile relay, the mile relay, the 880 relay and the shot put, the team won fourth place at the Fairfax County Relays, defeat- ing long-established schools. Showing exceptional promise in the running events were Juniors Bryan Morrell and Leroy Meyer and freshmen John Cal- landor and Don Herbots. In the area of weights Bruce Plyer and Dave Rae showed potential. Over fifty boys are participating in track this year. Although the track is not yet completed, it will be ready for use next spirng.
