The Genoa F..ll.A. officers for this year are President -.10 Ann Differ, Vice-President - Janet Pearson, Secretary-Treasurer - Joyce Stetz, Paliamentarian-llistorian - Bette Pearson, Song Leader-llecreation Chairman - Glennis Smith, Degree and llonor Chapter Chairman - Jane larson. The Genoa Chapter started its year's program of work by sending four officers, Janet Pearson, Bette Pearson, Jo Ann Ditter, and Joyce Stetz to Kearney State Teachers College in June for a three day officers and leaders training workshop. The District VII Convention was held November 3, in Genoa, with approximately 120 members attending from Columbus, St. Ed., Albion, and Fullerton. The regular business meeting was held in the morning. Mrs. Alvin Berlin, luncheon speaker, spoke to the girls on, Hllomemakers of the Future . Slides showing careers in llome Economics were shown and a style show was enjoyed in the afternoon. Janet Pearson and Joyce Stetz were installed as District VII secretary and historian for 1957-1958. The year's activities included concessions at football and basketball games, a clothing drive for the Goodwill lndustry, Mother-Daughter Christmas Banquet, State F.ll.A.. Scholarship Fund, U.N.E.S.C.0., March of Dimes drive, F..1l.,A.. Week, Easter Breakfast, and a tea for the eighth grade girls. This year's goals were: 1. Being better buyers. 2. Eat a good breakfast every day. 3. Furthering interests in llome Economics. 4. Civil Defense. -26-
