Four winners were chosen: Bruce Hasch, Karlene Rupp, Carol Lindauer, and Ellen Nore. Honorable mention was given to Ronnie Ericson, Gene Whitlow, and Ruth Alice Atkins. Other humorous readings were given by LaVonne Miller, Gayle Baue, and Gary Baue. Connie-Boss and Darlene Ditter gave dramatic readings and both represented Genoa at the Colden- rod Conference meet as did the winners of the other divisions. ln the original oration division Leon Noble and Dana Dannelly won the contest. Jerome Swanson also gave an original oration. Bill Shanahan and Marece Hockey game their 'interpretative orations at the conference meet. These picked from the Goldenrod Conference were sent to the District competition at Brainard. aww

ONE-ACT PLAYS SHOP GIRL A melodrama, Shop Girl, was presented by the Junior Class for the local contest. Left to Right: Marece Hockey, Janet Pear- son, .Io Ann Ditter, Kenny Cuddeford, Dave Elm, Gail Johnson, and Larry McNeff. CABBAGES The Cabbages who recently acquired money but were caught in its spell was a play well received by the audiences. It was presented at the local and Goldenrod Contest. Dana Dannclly, Ruth Atkins, Carol Lindauer, Gene Whitlow, Jerome Swanson, Karlene Rupp, and LaVonne Miller. IIECHOYI Echo, a dramatic play, presented by Ronnie Ericson, Rosalee Freas, Bruce Hasch, and Darlene Ditter represented Genoa at the District Contest at Brainard.
