K Senior Sneak Day SNEAK DAY The Genoa High School was a scene of peace and quiet April 6. All of us seniors had left on our Sneak Day. lt was 6 o'c1ock in the morning when we had our first course for breakfast-malted milks from Senftens. On our way to Omaha we made two stops, one in Fremont to eat breakfast, and the other in Boys' Town for a short tour and ride. After the tour we took the long way to Brandeis, where we ate dinner. Some of us seniors had a long ride up to the tenth floor. The elevator we were in stalled, so there we sat for fifteen minutes. We were on our own after dinner. Some of us went shopping, some bowling, and still others went to the movies. At 7115 all but three of us met at the bus depot and went to the Ice Capades. We enjoyed the Cupades but were all very tired. On the way home some of us sang, some laughed, some talked, and some even slept through all the noise. All in all, we can say that we had a roaring good time. -43-

l unior -- Senior Banquet l JUNIOR-SENIOR BANQUET The juniors sponsored the annual junior-sem ior banquet on May 5, 1954. The theme was Harbor Lights . The scene was that of a harbor inn, featuring the festivities of an end of the cruise banquet. A view of the beautiful harbor could be seen on the stage while a lighthouse on the floor shed its beacon on the tables. The wall streamers varied from a very dark blue, to a lighter blue, and finally to white in the center. The ceiling was white. Boats, lifesavers, and lighthouses lent a nautical air to the banquet. Following the banquet a prom was held. -50-
