During football season the girls arranged the following activities: l. Took home-made confetti and some sort of noise maker to the games. 2. Performed during the half, making the letter of the visiting town first and then the G for Genoa. During basketball season they arranged these activities: 1. Made a hoop for the boys to jump through when they came onto the loor. 2. Ikld a mock basketball game and had each girl represent one of the boys on the team. Pep Rallies were held every Tuesday and Friday of a game in the assenbly. All the G.H.S. students entered in to give the boys a cheer. To end the season the Black Peppers gave the Orioles a banquet. As we pulled out of Genoa, we felt as if we were riding on a cloud and our spirits were high. At approximately 9:30 A.M. we stopped at the Fremont Bus Station to load ourselves with food, magazines, and souvenirs. Mr. Coonley rounded us all up and got us settled in the bus and off again. Everyone settled down and watch- ed the good old Nebraska scenery. The ride to Boys Town was uneventful with the exception of a few stolen girls' shoes. At 10:30 we toured Boys Town and were very much impressed with the build- ing and the methods of teaching used at this famous school for boys. After arriving in Omaha we decided to tour the famous but smellv Omaha Stock Yards. Needless to sav the girls enjoyed this little trip im- mensely. We were Quests of Brandeis for lunch. We all had the afternoon to dowhat we wanted to do. Some shopped and saw the sights, some went to movies, and everyone had a wonderful time. At 6:30 we all met at the Greyhound Bus Depot, and were off fgr the Ak-Sar-Ben Coliseum, where we attended 7he Ice Capades. Selmimu Play 5, THE wzfauf fb 7f0A1vNi5 TALKING in 'TWG 0 and GFSW' ,.48..
