Before coming to Genoa he was a time study engineer for Kaiser Willys. It seems that he can hear a basketball bouncing a mile away. He is head basketball coach, and anything that concerns basket- ball you can bet that he will be there. Mr. Bondy is also a very good bowler. it seas.-,alt Mn '.. ERMA JOHNSON. BS in Ed. Miss Johnson has devoted all her life to teaching. Since she teaches both American and English literature, it's little wonder that she says that liter- ature just fascinates her. She really enjoys her job and work- ing with young people. ALICE DAVID . BA Mrs. David is Dean of Girls, senior advisor, yearbook ad- visor, and teaches English. The annual staff really appre ciates all her time and effort When not working on the an- nual, the senior class needs her. or someone needs an asp rin, Mrs. David still finds ti to attend all the school sport ing events.

The Bear, as he is sometimes re- ferred to, attended Kent State University last summer for a course in modern mathematics. He was one of the few teachers in Ohio selected to attend these classes. ,f wi ' n JIM NOVOTNY. BS in Ed. Mr. Novotny has been teaching chemistry and physics at Genoa for six years. He is quite in- terested in photography. In his spare time he operates a coin- stamp store. Mr. Novotny is a graduate of B. G. S. U. JOE BOLANDER, BS in Ed. Mr. Bolander taught and coached at Clyde High School before he came here. Besides teaching general science and biology, he also coaches the reserve football and basketball teams. She spent part of her summer as the art advisor for the Girl Scout Camp at Kel1y's Island. cquaint Us With Cultural Life VERLIN EASH, BS in Ed. Chief is our band director. He has been with us for 10 years. Mr. Eash has many hob- bies. Some of them are golf- ing, hiking, camping, and horseback riding. He was en- joying the latter when he broke his arm. which slowed him down for only a week or two last s1 r HERBERT GREUNKE, BS and MA in Mus. Mr. Greunke has been teaching vocal music at Genoa for 4 years. ln his spare time he col lects records and he is also the organist at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Last summer he spent several days at Interlocken Music Camp. 25 -Nr THELMA D'ALMAINE, BS and MA Mrs. D'Almaine spent her sum- mer in Europeg while there she attended La Sorboune in Paris. And I'm ready to tell you is a favorite expression of hers. When class starts you never know what interesting thing she is ready to tell you, and yet we still manage to finish our lesson too.
