Varsity basketball team led by sophs In his first year as Girls Varsity Basketball coach, Dan Davids had something to crow about as his team was performing well in a demanding schedule. Further, as of presstime, two sophomores were leading the scoring, a fact which should give Davids a nucleus around which to build future teams. Teresa DiCampli was the team's playmaker on offense, and along with Chris Greene, one of the most consistent defensive players. Bridget Borsa, Tina Yannotti, Lynn Luzzi. and Pam O'Neill all were playing good games coming off the bench. When this book went to press, sophomore Mary Murphy was leading the team in three categories: ■ HO u rr rebounds- with 14 per game: scoring- averaging 21 points per game: and steals-averaging over tw'o per contest. Liz Ca|)ozzi. another sophomore, was second in scoring and the fourth leading reboundcr. Other leading scorers were Terri Bagshaw. Rhonda Richmond. Chris Greene (also first in assists), and Kim Alslyne. This year GHS formed its first JV Girls Basketball team. The squad played their games before the varsity since all the schools in the league currently had junior varsity teams. Two non-league games were also scheduled.
