Sally Aldridge, Maureen Cunningham. 12 lead cheers When a young lady decides to become a cheerleader, she lakes on a great responsibility. She must initiate the spirit necessary to cheer the team on to victory' and she must also be willing to brave all types of weather. This year, the twelve girls on the football cheerleading squad represented the wonderful combination of spirit and good humor that it takes to be a good cheerleader. Sports 15

RB; and Leonard Thomas, RB. Standout linemen included Mike Martin and Bill Passalacqua. On defense. Linebackers Steve Lathey, |ohn Dinan, and Bill Lozada left their mark around the league. Highlights of the season were come-from-behind wins at Clyde with an excellent second half effort and a victory over Waterloo when Carlson connected on a pass to Linzy in the last twelve seconds.

Harriers take league 3rd The GHS Cross Country team finished its 1977 season with a 6 and 4 record. Going into the league meet. Waterloo was in first place with Penn Yan in second.There was a three way tie for third among Geneva. Newark and Mynderse. Through an excellent effort. Geneva outran both Mynderse and Newark, avenging previous losses to both clubs and assuring Geneva the third place league slot.
