FOR EWORD The Seneca Saga Staff presents herewith, for your approval and enjoyment, Volume 30 of the Seneca Saga. The editors have tried to show what this class has done, so that when you have seen and read the Seneca Saga, you will know something about our class, more than the fact that it graduated in 1954. In the Senior Division, you will see each one of us, and read about some of our major activities and accomplishments. In the Administration section, you will see our Board of Education, the Superintendent and Principals and Teachers who have given us untiringly of their time and advice. Cowper said, “Variety is the spice of life.” We sincerely believe this, as you will see when you enter our Activities section, which shows us, along with our friends of the other classes, participating in many extra-curricular activities, which have certainly added zest and enjoyment to our four years in high school. We hope you will enjoy our Sports section, where again, variety is present. We think we have an admirable sports record, not only because of our well-stocked trophy cases, but also because of our many sportsmanship awards. Of course, every group must have a leader, and full measure of honor and credit should and does go to our many coaches and advisers. In the Features section, you will see us in some of our lighter moments, as we attended the Junior Prom and the Senior Play, and many of the other “extras” which make the school experience so enjoyable. Also, toward the end, we have included a strictly “informal” section, which shows us as we look, act, and play with no preparation for a photographer. The Seneca Saga Staff extends thanks to all who helped in the preparation of this book. The committees worked hard to prepare schedule and copy. The advisers, Miss Katharine White, Mr. Epley and Mr. Cuony, aided us in many ways. We wish to thank Mr. Bridwell for his fine picture of Geneva, and Mr. Rogers for his help. The Varden Studios of Rochester gave us excellent photographs. We appreciate also the great amount of help our printers, the Almarco Printing Company, have given us. We hope you will enjoy the many memories this book will bring to you through the years to come. 6 The Editor.
