Carol Rauch, Connie Black, Carol Norr, Phyllis Beer, Tom Stuber, Tillman Smith, Arthur Schindler Ginny hopes her past on a quiz program will be a closed book now that they have moved to a small tovsm. She won' be teacher's pet anymore. The captain of the football team, named Beef, has already offered to help her with Amer- ican history. Ginr1y's brother, Lester, sick of being the brother of a child wonder is on her side. In fact, Lester is out to make the school band. Now, if he can only get hold of a bass drum! It turns out that Molly Woods owns one, and from then on, Les is out to bribe Molly into sneaking it out, which she finally does, with terrific and utterly unforeseen results. All goes well until Beef sees Ginny's prize cup and discovers that the girl he's been helping is really tops in the field. Beef leaves, and Ginny walking in all dressed up for her date, is heartbroken. Then, to prove to Beef th she isn't so smart, she copies the wrong answers from his exam. They both later admit to copying - but it's Beef wh is suspendedl That is catastrophe, for without Beef the team can't win the game. The only hope is to get the game postponed somehow until Beef's suspension is lifted. This is managed by putting ipecac in the cocoa, served at a party for the team - but that stunt almost gets the girls in trouble with the law. It's all straightened out at the final curtain, as Franny dates the frantic Foggy, and Ginny has her dates with Beef. DIERKES IMPLEMENT SALES, Decatur STUCKY'S GAS AND APPLIANCES, Geneva, Indiana
