The class officers Were: president, Nor- man Koonsg vice president, Dick Hardy, secretary, Arthur Vorheesg treasurer, Carl Lee Mann. When we entered school in Septem- ber, 1949, we chose Dick Hardy to lead our class with Norma Sue Cook as vice president, Ronald Spade as secretary, and Norman Koons as treasurer. Our group had decreased to thirty-three members, during the year we lost Ma- jeska Nevil, Marie Nevil, and Rosella Schaffer. Romona Caraway joined us to partially fill the loss. We donned our jeans for an evening of glaiety and laughter as we climbed aboard the hay-wagon and rode to Alice Hirshey's home for' games and those all- important hot dogs plus all the trim- mings, of course. Yes, we have scratched for success and have found it in those last two years just as we will be scratching for suc- cess during the next two years.

Early in October Mrs. Bernice Van Matre was chosen as our class sponsor, and the following class oflicers were elected for the school year: David Stucky, presidentg Jim Pyle, vice presi- dent, Kay MacWhinney, secre- tary, Carol Amstutz, treasurer. On November 8, 1949, we en- joyed a hayride to the home of Carol Amstutz, where we had a g wiener roast and played games. During the year we have lost five of our original forty-four members, namely: Jack Far- ber, Harvey Hendricks, Burley Ray Hough, Fred Werst, and Lydia Graber. However, two new students, Biruta Birznieks and Juanita Rhodes, have helped offset this loss, and make our present total forty-one members.
