Our Sponsor, Miss Ammy Pfeiffer called our first class meeting and we elected the following oflicers and council: President, Duane Shoemakerg Vice President, Jane Van Emon: Secre- Teeterl tary, Norma Pontius: Treasurer, Stanley Newsreporter, Max Mattaxg Council members, David Shepherd, Bill Kamman, Walter Bailey, and Phyllis Riggin. We had our first class party in October, a ham- burger fry, at the three cornered woods. At Christ- mas we enjoyed an exchange in the Home Economics room. Our second party was a roller skating party at the Sunset Rink at Decatur on March twenty- eighth. In September, nineteen forty-Eve. we became Sopho- mores. Norma Pontius. Joan Meyers, Bob Meyers. Patty Meyers, Max Cox, Carl Jones, Mary Louise Sells. Margaret Poling, Corwin lneichen. Gerald Run- kel, John Stucky, Elmer Uhrick, Peter Schwartz and J. R. Westerfelt did not return. Our ofhcers for this year are: President, Jane Van Emon: Vice President, Bob Miller: Secretary, Leroy Sprungerg Treasurer, David Shepherd: and Business Manager, Esther Stucky. Our first semester class party was a Come as you are party, held in the school gym on October first.
