We soon became accustomed to this new world in spite of ourselves. We were fortunate to get Mrs. Rhoades for our sponsor. On October 30, the class had a most enjoyable Hallowe'en party at the home of Iva Lou Miller. The following Spring we sponsored a party in the school gym. In September 1944, we entered the assembly with more assurance than we had in our previous year. Our number had dwindled to thirty-two, and during the year Joyce Booher, Robert Everhart. Melvin Hendricks. and Adrian Sprunger left us. We held a Ha1lowe'en party in Lee Dale Neuen- Schwander's barn. We also had a hayride the Same evening. In the Spring, we journeyed to Decatur for a skating party at the Sunset Rink. The latter part of the year we chose and ordered our class play books. September 4, 1945, our group of twenty-nine boys and girls entered the high school as independent juniors. While looking each other over during the lirst few days we noticed a new-comer, Jane Farlowi however, we were told that Ruth Eicher had moved to Michigan. Our class presented the play, 1VIumbo Jumbo, on October 16. 1945. On October 24, the main party of the year was held at the home of our sponsor, Mrs. Rhoades. The presentation of our class play, oper- ation of the candy stand, the arrival of our rings, and the Junior-Senior reception were the high lights of our Junior year. It is with anticipation of great achievement that we look forward to our Senior year, in which we hope to make even more exciting history.
