Semor HlSlOFY THE LEGENDARY CLASS N old storyteller began the followmg noted legend for the purpose of enter tammg a large auduence Once upon a tlme back ln the qood old days of I934 a group of freshmen entered Geneva High School Because of their shy and tlmnd actlons they soon won the name of greemes About three weeks before regular dxsmxssal for the summer the school buxldmg was condemned School was dlsmxssed early much to the joy of the students Officers for the year were Paul Kel ley presldent acquelme Teeter vlce presxdent and Sara ane Stahl secretary and treasurer Returnmg the next fall to Geneva they found rooms had been rented for the purpose of school The hxgh school was located m the Masomc Hall The sophomores found four of thexr members had not returned Thev were Lorena Ford Glenn Bxxler Paulme Rupcl and Ward Mxller Durxng the xear Clar ence Bauman Clarence Gallowav and Mary Fennxg left The sophomore year was a memorable one Many mterestmg mcxdents occurred whxch made the year very pleasant The class gave several one act plays at the Star Theater Officers for the year were acquel ne Teeter presrdent Harrlet Teeter v ce presndent and Charles McK1ssxck secretary and treasurer Tlme marches on' The class entered the new school bunldmq as unxors Katherme Lehman Marcella Steiner Edgar Lough Bxll Bmun Ruth Butler and Olal Pyle dld not return Ward Mxller Ornell Sprunger Ann Henschen Thls year the class presented a play entltled ChlSCllHg Chxselers Workxng stead1lv onxx 1rd they rewched a clxmax whxch was the un or Sennor receptnon The ofhcers for the year were Paul Kellex presldent acquelme Teeter vxce presndent Sara ane Stahl secretary and Gene Sulllvan treasurer ln the fall of 1937 thev entered school eager to get thenr dlplomas Thev worked caqerly toward thexr goal Sara ane Stahl eanne Thomas Ann Hen schen and Dorothea Kraner dxd not enter school Three new members were added maknng the number tvx enty four Tney were Marletta Mann Margorne Fawns and Vlrgnl Sprunqer Thns was a year of great events for they not only published an annual but also presented a play and vtere the honored guests at two banquets The presndent vlce presxdent and treasurer were re elected ames Brlggs was elected secretary After a year of hard work they were ready for thexr dzplomas Thev owed much of thexr su ess to Mrs Rhoades thenr sponsor durxng all fda! vears of hxqh sch ol As Seniors they vtere leadels Whether they were competent leaders or not ns not for me to say but they h1d done thexr best and thev hope to be mxssed LORETTA LEHMAN .
