After being pushed, pulled, urged and coaxed, we entered the office of the Superintendent. Here we were almost frightened out of our wits by big words, sour looks and scowling faces. After some more persuasion and coaxing, We were comfortably seated in the large assembly room. The first three or four days we were the targets for all the upper classmen, some of the darts of mischief, and the arrows of criticism pierced deeplyg but in a comparatively short time we convinced the teachers and other students that we were not half so green as we looked. Now, after almost eight months of practice in the art of imitation and mimicing, we have Well established ourselves, and demanded our rights. In a very short time We shall gladly shake off the title of Freshies and leave all of its pleasures and pains to a new class.
