In an all-out effort fo please, we won the magazine drive by a large total. Our Homecoming float didn't place among the winners. Our girls survived through G.A.A. initiation, although we had our doubts. In three years we will be the Star Performers. It will take a lot of plan- ning and hard work; but with our experience as crew workers this year, we're sure to reach the top rung of the ladder. This year, we advanced to the position of clowns with an air of confidence and drive. Our float placed second this year in the Homecoming contest. As crew members of this circus, we won the magazine drive by a large margin; however, this year, being clowns, we didn't measure up to our respon- sibilities. We have two more years to climb the ladder of success. Our only hope is that we have the initiative to accomplish as well as they, the tasks and duties performed by the stars in the past years. Our first two floats placing high and our winning the magazine drive as freshmen are two of the accomplishments we can look back at with pride. Several of our performers were represented well in various activities ranging from a championship basketball team to our Student Council. Learning the ropes has been a three year project, but now we're pre- pared to take a firm hold, get a good running start and swing straight up to the spotlight of Ring One. It hasn't been easy; we've worked all the way. As freshmen, we won the magazine drive, which we lost as sophomores. The spring of our junior year was quite busy with the Prom, Carnival in Venice, the Banquet, and our play, CURTAIN GOING UP. This year we started on the right foot by winning the Homecoming float contest with the theme Our Boys Will Shine Tonight. Our play, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, was well received. But our days as star performers are drawing to a close. On Commence- ment Day we will relinquish our roles as star performers in the Three- Ring Circus to assume the more important roles in the larger Circus of Life.
