These are our schools . . . Geneva High School-Berne High School. They are made up of adminis- trators, teachers, students, office workers, ianitors . . . people. They are made up of the band- rooms, the prefabs, the shops, the main buildings, the football fields, the baseball diamonds . . . places. They are made up of studies, dances, meetings, games, examinations . . . things. People, places, and things . . . a familiar com bination in any school. But we here at South Adams feel that our people, places, and things are pretty special. We are proud to say, These are our schools. We think of the people of our school. People were a great part of our education. We worked with each other, we competed with each other, we planned with each other. Co-operation was the keyword for getting things done, and get things done we did. And each accomplishment added a little bit more to the prestige of our schools. Yes, we learned to get along with the other fella. We think of the places of our school. The white beauty of the yards in the winter, the lime green of spring, the velvet green of summer, and the rich brown of autumn. The football fields bring happy thoughts of sunny afternoons, chilly evenings, cold drinks and hot coffee, friendly people, and the excitement of seeing the Cardinals and the Bears in action. We remember the band- rooms and the sounds echoing from them. The noisy rehearsals, contests, and Pops Concerts can still be remembered by those of us who attended. Things there were many. Basically we came to school to get an education. Reading, writing and arithmetic soon gave way to Shakespeare, themes, and trigonometry. We studied hard, know- ing that getting and education would be no simple task. The athletic events taught us . . . as well as the players . . . good sportsmanship. We took losses calmly, and wins . . . well, not so calmly. We learned even while we were having fun. Planning social events was a thrilling challenge, but what fun it was stringing crepe paper, sprinkling glitter, and selling tickets. Another thing accomplished, another thing well done, another thing for us to smile about and say, These are our schools. Tabaeo6vC0ntents AWWW ...... ............17 WHQRQW... ..... T42
