74 C THE BOARD OF EDUCATION The Geneva Board of Education is made-up of five men who give their services to the development of education voluntarily. The Clerk of the Board is the only member that is paid, and he is not considered, strictly speaking, a member of the Board. Mr. Fred L. Anderson is treasurer and clerk. He has the Ford agency in Geneva. Mr. A. A. Searle is the President. Mr. Searle was educated in the University of Nebraska and Washburn College. He is the secretary and treasurer of the Geneva Savings and Trust Bank. He has two children attending school in Geneva. Mr. C. A. Bonsor is the vice president of the board. Mr. Bonsor is formerly of Lorain. While attending Lorain High School, he was a star athlete. Mr. Bonsor also was the assistant director of parks in Lorain. At the present time he is the Editor of the Geneva Free Press. He has one child in the elementary school in Gen- eva. Mr. C. J. Ford is a graduate of Oberlin college and received his legal degree at Western Reserve University. He has two children enrolled in the Geneva schools. Mr. Virgil Bogue is a graduate of Michigan University. At the present time Mr. Bogue is a Landscape Architect. Mr Bogue has two children attending school in Geneva. Mr. E. L. Manthey, the newest member of the Board, attended Akron University. He was formerly an instructor of Economics. Mr. Manthey is the Personal Director at the Metal XYheel Company. He has three children in school.
