W. Scott Bliss Assistant to the President. THE OFFICE OE THE PRE IDE T In August 1961, Mr. W. Scott Bliss was named to the post of assistant to the President. Mr. Bliss was graduated from Geneva in 1939. Prior to being ap- pointed to this post, he was connected with industry and also served on the College Board of Trustees. His main job has been to help handle any special as- signments concerning Geneva College's development program. A small college necessarily needs a faculty and ad- ministration which is closely knit with the student body. Mr. Bliss's friendly and congenial attitude has fit into this relationship. Along with his experience and educa- tional background, he is always thinking of what is best for Geneva. We are glad to know that we have a man like W. Scott Bliss watching over Geneva's ex- pansion. Evangeline Van Arsdale Mary Malinich Secretary to Dr. Clarke. Sggfemry 10 Mr, Bliss, '72 t lc

To the Class of 1963: Although it is a bleak winter day as this message is being written, the snow will soon disappear and the time for your graduation will be at hand. I-think that progress has been made in a number of areas at Geneva during your years on campus. You members of the Class of 1963 have made important contributions to the life of the College, and we congratulate you upon your accom- plishments to date. As you complete your work at Geneva and go on to assume additional responsibilities, our hope for you is that your lives will be rewarding and that they will ever reflect the purpose expressed in the College Motto: Pro Christo et Patria. May you enjoy God's richest blessings in the years which lie ahead. Then come Geneva's sons, ne'er let the glad chorus fail. . . Sincerely yours, 5.9.4. Q .QQMIL Edwin C. The membership consists of men and women who represent the Reformed Presbyterian Church, the Alumni Association, and the Beaver Val- ley. The members are elected by the Board of Cor- porators and are responsible to them. These Trustees work with the College Administra- tion to carry out a high scholastic program in keeping with the ideals of Christian principles. The final de- cisions and approvals of major problems and of needs of the College are made by the members. Various committees carry out different functions: The Build- ing and Grounds Committee, the Finance Committee, and the Spiritual Life Committee are among the most important. These men and women serve without re- muneration, because of their devotion to the college.
