The Faculty Council may be called the bridge of understanding between the students and the administration, aiming toward a mutual friendliness and sympathy. Each member of the Council is thoroughly qualilied, as head of his department, to assume the responsibilities of the duties of his position on the council. Long and rich experience has developed in each one the ability to appraise human nature and solve human problems. Many a student, being confronted by a dilliculty of seemingly insurmountable proportions, has had the tangled threads unravelled by the Faculty Council and has emerged from disillusion and discoutagement with clearer eyes and a more optimistic outlook for the future. At their frequent meetings, the members of the Faculty Council discuss any matters which affect the welfare of the school at large. Through the exchange of their ideas they are able to formulate plans for and means of improving Geneseo Normal School. Although we have our own governing body to carry out the wishes of the students, the Faculty Council acts in an advisory capacity to the Student Cooperative Govern- ment, as well as to the administration and the student body in general.
