The purpose of the club has been to give each pupil an opportunity to become more familiar with spoken French, thereby enlarging his vocabulary and acquainting himself with the correct use of French idioms. The moment the curtain arose the young actors forgot their own identity and became other characters. Every person played his part in an excellent manner. The play centered around Larry and l-letty Brice who were having their marital bliss blighted by a playboy from the city, Sammy Fletcher. The proceeds of the play added extensively to the money used for the Washington trip. 7.6

With the extra classes for band during school hours the members have been able to practice and develop their musical talent. Mr. Babcock began the year by getting new members. ORCH E 513.4 The orchestra has developed considerably during the past year. lt has had more opportunity this year to show its musical ability than in any previous year. lt has played for most of the assembly programs. At different times during the year when special programs were being presented, which needed a little music to top them off, Mr. Babcock selected certain members of the orchestra to play. 2.8
