Team 1968 l. Wil Burdick - Center. His rebounding and good position on his man were his assets. Good team man in helping to set up others for shots. 2. Dave Dickman - Consistant performer on both ends of the court. Led the team in rebounds with 10 per game. Unseliish - good team-man. Second leading scorer with 13 points per game. Pulled off 24 rebounds vs. Finger Lakes Community College. 3. Joe Grzybowski - Small. quick, and scrappy performer. Sharp passer. He hustled all the time. Good dribbler. Should help next season. 4. John Debaun H Smallest man on squad. Quick steady and knowledgeable guard. His speed and savvy made up for his lack of height.

. 4 s C l. Bob Derek - Outstanding scorer and all-round team man. Placed lOth in Region III Junior College scoring at 21.2 points per game average. His clutchl' free throws and long shots helped win many close games. Holds single game scoring - 35 against Corning Community College. 2. Gary Nichols - Captain. Tireless worker - quick reflexes - led team in assists k ll4. and was 3rd in Regional III statistics. Smallest starter, Play maker on the offense for 2nd winning season. 3. George Shaver - Converted corner man to under basket player. Excellent rebounder. Highest jumper on the squad, only 6'1 . Improved at new position steadily. Should be tougher next year with more experience. 4. Charles Cummings - Sopho- more forward. Improved greatly as season progressed. Sharp jump shooter from 15-18 feet out. Averaged 12 points per game and was a strong defen- sive man and always kept good position on his man. 5. Dave Spinnegan - Good sixthman. Played well both outside and inside. Good free thrower. Usually had to learn more than one position. ' ::t....5g-vt-gm.. --.L-.-gy . 4..- 1- I rv few. -RF rd' egg., Genesee Community College, in only its second year of Intercollegiate Athletics, annexed the 1969 NJCAA Region II Bowling Tournament held on Saturday, April l2 at Hornell Bowl, Hornell, New York. The event hosted by Alfred State College, was a seesaw affair, which saw Genesee, defending champion Erie Tech, and Monroe Community College Trade places fre- quently during the six-game set. Genesee, how- ever was more consistent piling up 5567, a 63 pin bulge over Erie Tech. Monroe linished third with 5456. Seven other teams were represented. Tony Tenebruso of Genesee was the All-Events Champion with a sparkling 1252 for 6 games. Tenebruso and Lou Ferrando finished second in the doubles. Other scores for 6 games were: Tom Fentner with ll54, Dennis Pawlik at ll49, Lou Ferrando had ll0l, Mike Kiel rolled lO98, and Mark Ruger a 967. This team also placed thirteenth in a combined 4-year and 2-year college tournament at Monroe Community College in their only other appearance. . .7 pq G.C.Cfs Kiel, Missing: L. Ferrando. For those students who desire competition in sports, a limited program of activities was held this past year. Games were played in the late afternoon and early evening in the local Junior High School. Leagues in basketball and bowling were formed and many boys participated. Twelve basketball teams made up two divisions, play olTs were held, and a champion determined. The menls bowling league consisted of fourteen teams. Team and individual trophies were awarded to the winners at the conclusion of the league. A Womenls Recreation Association was formed under the direction of Miss Dolores Chiocco.
